Why does Ramadan move earlier every year?
The Islamic year is lunar and lasts about 354–355 days, roughly 10–11 days shorter than the Gregorian year. Ramadan therefore arrives about a week and a half earlier each year and travels through all seasons.
How do I find the official date in my country?
Each country announces the start of the month through its official authority. See Ramadan by country to find the announcing body for your country.
